Chinquapins and Chestnuts

200 pages, 6 x 9", illustrated, indexed
A collection of short stories, this book depicts the life of a western North Carolina boy. The account of the incidents are true except for the change in the names of some of the characters and places. It could very well be used as a documentary of the life in the southern Applachian Mountains as seen though the eyes of a mountain boy. All events ocurred in the early part of the Twentieth Century, between 1912 and 1930.
